Nanny Share

Date nights

For a nanny share, I am currently seeking EITHER two families with infants (no more than 8 weeks difference in age) or three families with children 2+ for a midweek, full-day share. Because I am the most familiar wit them, I prefer to work in Mountain View, Menlo Park, Palo Alto or Stanford, as well as Santa Clara, or Sunnyvale. For an excellent match, I will consider travel to Los Altos and Campbell. I will also consider parts of San Jose and even down here in Morgan Hill, provided the area is easily accessible, the rate is reasonable and the neighborhood is safe and engaging for young children. I appreciate families who value long-term, consistent care for their children for at least a year, if not longer. Ideally, this share would be held TWTh, between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:30 pm, depending upon the location of the host family’s home. I am only interested in working with families willing and able to pay me through a payroll system as an employee and to supply a W-2 for tax purposes. Many of my past families have used Poppins Payroll, and it is now my preferred payroll service. Many years of teaching and nannying have taught me that I work best with parents who work outside of the home, and who implicitly trust in my abilities to teach and care for their children in their absence.

I offer date-night care on Friday evening from 5:00 pm to 1 am and Saturday evening until 2:00 am. There is a 4 hour minimum. A non-refundable 40% deposit based on either my 4 hour minimum or your projected number of hours is required to secure your spot on my schedule. For example, if your booking is from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and you have a single child, your deposit will be $51.20. This is applied to your balance at the end of your booking. My rates begin at $32/hr and fluctuate based on distance traveled, holiday seasons, number of children, or weekend events that may impact my travel (looking at YOU, “Bey Hive,” AND you, “Swifties”). Deposits are not refundable in the event of cancellations, and are transferable at my discretion. Deposits are due within 48 hours of request, and confirmation of my availability. I also request that families hail a Lyft or Uber for my safe transportation home at the end of each evening. If requested, I will be happy to inform parents by text when I have arrived in my home for the evening. I also charge a $25 “last minute” fee for any booking made with 48 hours notice or less.

Monday and Friday back-up care

Backup care is offered on Monday and Friday mornings and afternoons in the event of school holidays or closings, when your regular care provider is unavailable, or in the event that your child is unable to attend school or daycare due to VERY MILD illness. I do not guarantee emergency availability on any Monday or Friday, because these days are also open to families who may simply need a few hours extra coverage on occasion.
